Give Goodness to the World

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to give more goodness to the world. I love and adore Mother Nature and all that she has to offer us. I like to show gratitude and appreciation by giving back to her and treat her with the respect she deserves. It’s the small actions we all do that can make positive changes to our planet. Instead  of sleeping in on Saturdays, I like to wake up early, drink a cup of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters®, and pick up garbage that was left at nearby parks, trails, and beaches. Trash is not only aesthetically unpleasing to the eye, it is also detrimental to the environment and harmful to animals who ingest it. On top of that, if someone sees you picking up trash, it may encourage them to start doing it as well. Even though our actions may seem small, it isn’t when we all make changes to give back. Don’t forget that it is our responsibility to protect the earth for future generations.

World Coffee Research is an industry collaboration to develop and test varietals that will not only withstand the negative effects of climate change but also produce higher quality and yields for farmers. This program improves and protects the quality of coffee while helping the livelihoods of those who produce it. In addition, GMCR has helped train over 2,500 farmers in water-smart agricultural practices and restored watersheds and water systems in order to provide safer and cleaner water to 100,000 people. They inspire me to make more of a difference in the world!
