Strawberry Lemon Passion Mojito Mocktail
As the days are getting longer and warmer, I am beginning to taste barbecues, beach days, and fruity drinks. While spring weather is not quite here yet, we were blessed to have some sunny, warm weather over this past weekend. For that reason, I couldn’t help but make a fruity mocktail for my family and I to enjoy! While I was at Shoprite, I was thinking of what would make a good mixer for the fruity mocktail — I saw Welch’s Passion Fruit Refrigerated Cocktails and had to grab it! This juice screams springtime with it’s tropical flavors and it makes a delicious mocktail mixer. I replaced the rum for club soda for a bubbly non-alcoholic version so my little brother could enjoy it as well (he is 16 years old)! I decided to do a clench thirsting twist on the typical mojito and use lemons instead of limes for a brighter, sweeter flavor. I made this fruity Strawberry Lemon Passion Mojito Mocktail in just under 5 minutes!
Strawberry Lemon Passion Mojito Mocktail Ingredients (4 servings):
- 6 ripe strawberries
- 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup of fresh mint leaves
- 1 lime or lemon
- 6 ounces of Welch’s Passion Fruit Cocktails
- 8 ounces of club soda
- (optional) Add a splash of white rum
- 1 cup of Ice
Optional garnishes:
4 lemon slices
4 half strawberries
4 mint sprigs
Instructions:
Crush and muddle the lemon wedges, strawberries, and mint leaves in a deep bowl or pitcher. Add Welch’s Passion Fruit Cocktails, club soda, and ice and stir vigorously. Lastly, you can garnish glasses as you like and serve!
Don’t think the young ones can’t enjoy fruity mixed drinks too! This lip smacking strawberry lemon passion mojito mocktail screams springtime that even kids and teens (or even adults who are not in the mood to drink alcohol) can happily enjoy!
I love strawberries, and my husband and I just said we need to find something to do with the abundance of mint leaves growing in the garden. This drink sounds perfect!
This looks soooo yummy! And the fact that you can make it without alcohol, I bet I could make it for my kids for a summer girls’ afternoon, too! 🙂
