Water With A Splash of Taste
Do you get bored of drinking tasteless water but are trying to avoid drinking juice or soda because of all the added sugars and calories? Well, I can tell you that there’s a way for you to add sweetness to your water without having to worry about if it’s going to add inches to your waist line by using water infusers, or what I like to call water with a splash of taste. Water infusers are like any typical water bottle but has a removable container to put sliced fruit in the middle. The removable container has holes in it to allow the fruit flavor to infuse in the water. Mmm, doesn’t that sound refreshing on a hot sunny day? Water infusing is a great way of detoxing and nourishing the body. Remember, the ones who are trying to lose weight, one of the first steps in doing so is to keep your body well nourished. Even if you’re not trying to lose weight, water infusing is a great way to stay healthy by adding nutrients and getting more water in you. One of my favorite water infuser recipes is strawberries with mint leaves. Strawberries are filled with several beneficial nutrients and mint leaves is a stimulant that can help with shedding pounds. Another of my favorite water infuser recipes is simply raspberries with lemon without the rim. I personally prefer to cut off the lemon rim before putting it in the water infuser so it won’t take away the sweetness of the raspberries. Raspberries and lemons are a magnificent source of antioxidants with many other health benefits.
Which water infuser recipe would you try first?
Tip: Make sure to put the infuser water bottle filled with fruit in the freezer for a few hours or overnight in order to allow the flavor to infused in the water better.
